He's behind you!!

Wow, it's Christmas Eve tomorrow and it seems like we were just starting December! As an early Christmas treat myself and Miss Swindon 2012 was invited to the Press Night of the Swindon Panto Aladdin starring Keith Chegwin, a regular to the Wyvern Theatre Panto. My first time at a Panto and wasnt going too good considering my bus was late making me get there just as the show started, cue awkward people getting up soi we could reach our seats and then my tights snagging so having to remove them and getting cold legs! But the show was amazing! The dancers were fab and there was comedy and laughter for every age group! it was also very interactive which at first you'd say things a bit quiet but by the end you were shouting with the rest of them! At the interval we became presenters for Swindon TV, interviewing some of the younger audience, and some of the comments they came out with! One young boy fancied himself a star in the making and was delighted to be interviewed, happy to make his day!!

Also i must be doing something right with this blogger markley as I have been asked to be a fashion blog writer for the new pageant magazine Sparkle Girlz. This fab new online magazine has interviews from different pageant queens, tips on how to compete, make up and outfit from the top pageant queens and coaches so it was an honour to be able to write a piece! I wrote about the biggest topic to do with Christmas, the Christmas party dress! http://www.sparklegirlz.com/christmas-fashion-tips-by-englands-perfect-miss-hannah-golding/ read here and I hope you all love it! I love writing about all different sort of things from this blog to my poetry so if anyone knows anything else that I could do, I would love to be a part of it!

It's nice to be thanked for all your efforts you do in the community and I was asked alongside other members of the Swindon community who help to make a difference like the mayor and counsels come to The Curry Place in Swindon to welcome their new dish "The Big Ban" to celebrate the failed prediction of the end of the world. Also to celebrate the year with all the charity work they do alongside the Mayor's charity. I couldn't stay for the meal as I was on my lunchbreak from my nursery job (and i'm a vegetarian) but they gave me a lovely bunch of flowers to say thank you and after college they cooked me the best vegetarian curry I have ever had! It was gorgeous and I will definitely be going there for my curries from now on!!

And even though it's Christmas I won't be having a break from the gym (but will still be eating those choccies, rude not to!), I recently got the images back from the shoot I did last month to promote my amazing gym and sponsor Kiss Gyms! They now have tons more equipment, putting on classes from next year and just had a delivery of punchbags! Destressing to the max! I want to thank them for everything they have done for me as if it wasn't for Kiss Gyms i wouldn't be standing here (well sitting) as England's PERFECT Miss. Also a big thank you to Adam York of Kiss Gyms who has helped me in more ways than one. After my fiance leaving, I didn't know how much I had actually gained (see past blogs for shocking pictures, i know you want to!). But thanks to Adam providing me with personal training, I have slimmed down to a more comfortable size and no silly diets in sight! I have a health approach to exercise and am toning and shaping up! Bikini body for March here I come! I've also learned that you don't need to spend all your time in the gym on the cardio machines, it's all about the weights to strengthen!

So to every one of my likers and readers, a big Merry Christmas to you all!! I will be spending my Christmas at the Methadist Church feeding the homeless and making them smile on one of the most loving holidays of the year! hope you all enjoy the time you spend with your families and treasure the gifts you receive. Love <3

"So let's all have a great race and let's go!" Everyone runs, "No wait for the horn!!"

Running around Coate water on a cold Sunday morning dressed as a Christmas tree is pretty much a average thing these days in the world of England's Perfect Miss! This time we were running for Prospect Hospice, a fab charity helping terminally ill patients live out the last of their days as comfortable as they can, and also support the families and friends of the patients with coping. Every year for the past 6 years they have done a santa dash which last year I ran with my puppy Roxy foxy and now she is massive! How much has happened in a year is crazy! This year I ran with Miss Wiltshire Galaxy and Miss Swindon. We were the trio of snow women, Mrs Claus and the Christmas tree that got away! We were honoured to start the race off and typical me confused everyone! I said a nice little speech, lets go have fun and let's go! And everyone started running!! They were meant to wait for the horn to go off, so back to the start! hey I was seeing if they were paying attention, which they were NOT! And we have to bring some comedy value to the race as we are dressed as santa's! No room for seriousness when you have tinsel draped all around you and a star on your head!

Georgia speed ahead whilst me and Ela took a good pace! It was tiring but great fun, and my little niece Keria ran the end with us which she always loves doing at my charity races! We were straight into pageant duty and handing out the gorge tree medals to the rest of the runners in the 5k race! Then Santa gave everyone lot's of sweets which was when my nieces face went from a frown from the cold to a big smile! There was a free coffee or tea but they had ran out by the time we had finished so it was a nice biscuit! :)
We also handed out the winner's medals, and it was amazing to be part of the event! Here us #wiltshirebeautyqueens are with our medals, still smiling and wishing everyone an amazing Christmas!! December is usually quiet for appearances as we are gearing up for Christmas! Christmas jumpers and decorations are filling our time, but I am super excited to be going to the panto with Miss Swindon on Tuesday for a special V.I.P night and then volunteering Chrsitmas Eve and Christmas Day for the homeless at the Methodist Church at Queens Drive. Now all we can wish for is snow and it will be the perfect White Christmas, but maybe hold off til after the 27th so I can pass my driving test! Have a PERFECT day!

The holidays are coming....

The start of december, when it is sociably acceptable to sing out of tune to chirstmas songs, wear novelty jumpers and eat lots of chocolate! Also most running events are usually a blur of red due to the santa dash! This past sunday myself, miss wiltshire galaxy and miss swindon took part in the Wiltshire Air Ambulance's first Santa Dash at Lydiard Park. The event, which raised over £5000 was the first in it's history and was helped by the Swindon Rotary Club. Everyone received a santa outfit and had a warm up of Zumba! With a little gangnam style thrown in! It was icy and cold but over 200 turned up! We had a press shoot with Santa (I wished for a PERFECT Christmas) and Whisky Bear, the WAA's official mascot. Werent these ponies cute with their antlers on! Then the mayor opened up the race and we were off!! Georgia had her little Henry in his pram enjoying the ride whilst we jogged and dodged the icy puddles! It was a great chance for a sunday morning exercise with some pageant gossip thrown in! The support was great also!

We crossed the line singing christmas songs, out of breath but they still count, and was handed our cute little medals and a snapshot with the mayor who congratulated us. But the real heroes are the ones still keeping Wiltshire Air Ambulance running and saving lifes! I am so happy to be a part of something that makes a difference in the community! We even got our santa picture in the paper the next day, and they just used our names for once! No titles! :O Now we will be opening the Santa Dash at Coate Water in aid of Prospect Hospice, a charity us Wiltshire beauty queens help alot at. We will be doing something different from the Santa Sash though so look out for a christmas tree and a snowwoman, and whatever Ela will be! See you there people, remember go PERFECT or go HOME! For it's christmas!!!

A busy time away....

I decided to stay away from social networking for a while to see how long I would last without modern technology, 2 weeks was the most! How long have you guys tried to go without facebook or twitter (I must admit I still had twitter otherwise I would of felt cut off from the world!). Before I decided to deactivate facebook, I made a couple of appearances with my England's Perfect Miss sash, a very glamorous weekend.

Me and the other Wiltshire Beauty Queens (hashtagging on twitter) were special guests at the Kick4Life masquerade ball at Menzies Hotel in Swindon. There was an auction, live music and a huge raffle! Sadly I did not win the holiday to Turkey, but I had a great time helping raise funds! The charity do amazing work out in Africa and I am happy to say we will be doing alot more for the charity, starting with 24hour football, this Saturday, 24 hours non stop of football to raise funds! Get the football kit out!

Next stop was the Bowood Wedding Fayre, ran by Hazelwood Boutique. Me, Miss Wiltshire Galaxy and Miss Swindon were asked to model for the show. I LOVE modelling these beautiful dresses, image here by Kevin Belson. Also as a treat we had our makeup done for us by the amazing Katy Pheiffer who made us look like goddesses!! I had the vintage look and everyone said how amazing I looked (will take as a compliment as they wouldn't say I looked like I needed makeup before :s). There were two shows and we modelled two dresses each, I seriously loved them both and wish I could snap them up! Especially Ela's bridesmaid dress, pretty in pink!!
And we do like to mess around, here is the classic Bridesmaid envy, love this shot! It was such fun and an impulse thing and that's what I love about being a titleholder. You met such amazing people and get to do something different each week. Before competing in pageants I was shy and found it hard to make friends, now I have friends all over the country! I have more self-confidence to try new things and I thank my lucky stars that I have been blessed with such good fortunes! love my sister queens! Now there is a busy weekend ahead as there is the Kick4Life 24hr football, the MECA Fight Night where us wiltshire beauty queens will be helping hand out the raffle tickets, and then Sunday we will be off to Lydiard for the Santa Dash in aid of Wiltshire Air Ambulance! I am so excited to be starting the race off and can't wait to see all the Santa outfits, it's beginning to look alot like Christmas! Let's hope I can get over this fever!! I shall leave you with one of my fab images from CMG Photography which I received all my images from, showing the lighter side of modelling. We are here to have fun :) Happy Thursday guys!

Spooky for Halloween

I was going to have a weekend off appearances but I just can't help myself!! It was halloween weekend so everyone was dressed up in their scary costumes and carving pumpkins! I was invited to watch the 4FW https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.244254929028063.55669.244138555706367&type=1#!/Official4FW?fref=ts Halloween Wrestling special in Swindon where I got to go backstage! I met a few wrestlers including Junior Heavyweight Champion "The Sheik" Behnam Ali and Heavyweight Champion "English Lion" Eddie Ryan and got to hold one of the belts, PERFECT accessory right!!

I even made an halloween outfit, that's a fake spider in my hair by the way ;) The show itself was amazing, there was alot of entertainment and talent, these guys train hard to be able to put on such a show! If you ever watched wrestling as a kid, which my family used to all the time with the great legends like The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin, then you know what sort of show to expect! The crowd were really into it, interacting with the stars and booing and cheering! You can't help but join in! Sadly I left before the Fancy Dress prize was given out, sigh, but overall had a fab night! So I think you should all come to the next event and see what  English Wrestling is about! And if you were expecting scary, well here is a picture of me and Miss Swindon Ela at my personal trainer's Halloween party, never worn so much make up in my life!! haha Hope you have a PERFECT halloween! Trick or treat!!!

A Swishing Weekend!

Being a bit naughty here and negelecting coursework to update my blog, as I hvaent been with internet access for what seems like years!! But I will write about my swishing weekend, swish swish swish!!

Friday night was the best night for both my purse and wardrobe as it was Swindon Swishing! Bring old clothes for new clothes in aid of CALM. Great stuff! New clothes, plus getting rid of old ones, equals eco shopping at its best! I went with my work collegue tasha and my fellow queens Ruth and Ela and we were ready for clothes war! You had 20 monuties browsing (where i picked my besties then hid them somewhere) then you had to go whilst they rearranged them (they were all sorted in size order) then they open the doors and whoosh! You may never see so many grown women run so fast, someone actually got elbowed in the face! Women scrambling for the rails like this was the first time they had seen clothes! Naturally i grabbed a ton of clothes and got everything i wanted plus more! (had to give ela the sparkly jacket tho, sob! :( im too nice haha). The raffle was also drawn (didnt win, suprise!!) and overall everyone addicted to swishing!!

Then onto Rachel's Wedding shop opening in the morning! The shop was looking amazing though I brought some mud in on my heels (awkward moment, always happens to me!). The mayor of Farrigndon was there as well as lots of supporters! A photographer took a picture of my shoes??!! Aha but we got to do what we do best, try on dresses!!! Yey!

Here is me and Ruth in our matching dresses that i couldnt get off in the end, sooo wanted it! matches my sash! But hey, have to save those pennies, unless someone wants to buy it for me! hint hint!! Rachel also stocks Mia Solono Bridal wear which is my PERFECT Dress sponsors so check them out, they are made to last and are just too gorgeous!!

Then for the nightime, its swish oclock! The Swish ball, held at the MECA for Prospect Hospice and had some amazing live music acts!! We were V.I.P guests (never get to say that!) and we had our own table with champers and the like! We were given our Propsect buckets to collect pennies, which turned to notes! And got to dance the night away! We were also filmed by Swindon TV and i'm pretty sure you will see some of my ammmazing moves on camera :S

Sunday was a PERFECT rest day! And actually have a weekend where I don't have any appearances, oh my gosh!

4 appearances in 4 days

Most people on a 4 day weekend have a relaxing, chilled time, or go somewhere exciting like a city break. Not that I had 4 days off, I was working still and everything else like uni and college work but instead of resting in between I had a very busy Friday to Monday!!

Day 1- Friday and I was asked to help coach the models of the Fashion show in aid of Prospect Hospice, one of the charities I support. Alongside Miss Swindon we helped show the models how to walk and to enjoy the moment, also to meet and greet the public coming in and do the raffle (amazing prizes which once again I didn't win, such bad luck with raffles). It was a great event and worth rushing home from work to change quickly! This event raised over two thousand pounds, here we are pictured with the organiser. Only just found out after we gopt there that we could of been in the show itself modelling, there were some fab outfits, but til the next year! Was so strange being on the other side but a new experience!

Day 2- Saturday! And me and the new Miss Swindon Galaxy Gemma Drew were helping raise funds for the Stand Up For Cancer week as part of an ongoing fundraiser for Cancer Research UK. We were in M&S and although people were more interested in the free xmas pub samples and wine (in the middle of the day!), we raised a fair bit which will go towards helping find a cure for cancer! If you weren't there to put some change in our pots, pop along to the charity shop in Swindon and donate there, and check out the official merchandise!!

Day 3- Sunday! Day of rest, but wait no, bright and early after a night dancing to celebrate my friend's engagement (love you chloe), i was dressed as supergirl and hoped on my bike (the strangest looks but hey!) to the Swindon half marathon fun run!

I was running with Miss Wiltshire Galaxy and after starting the race i realised just how unfit i was! I did the half marathon last year, but taking part in the fun run just made me miss it and will defo be training next year!! Straight after we finished we had an interview with BBC Wiltshire about all the charity work we were doing and what we thought about the race, surprised we could even speak but we still managed it!!

Then off to my England's Perfect photo shoot with CMG Photography. We worked through the night til midnight!! But got some great images and different concepts! It's great to have different shots to my normal pageant smile! We worked on makeup and looks inspired by Chery, Rhianna and my fav LMFAO. Here is a behind the scenes shot and you will see the results very soon!!

Here is one of the shots, very pin girl!!

No lie in for monday morning, day 4 as it was off to the Swindon 105.5 studios to talk to presenter Trevor Smith about the upcoming charity events of the week. It was a great show and i always feel welcome and love that i can come in anytime for a chat, no krispy Kreme donuts this time tho!! ;) So the charity events this weekend? Swindon swishing tonight, maddison hotel, £3 entry to go to CALM Charity. Bring your old clothes and swap them for new Guilt free shopping which is the best kind of shopping, then more swishin with the Swish Ball at the MECA Saturday night in aid of Prospect Hopsice. As well as opening Rachel's Wedding shop saturday morning, there is indeed no rest in this pageant gal's life! Sunday will indeed be pj and catching up on coursework/ xfactor!! What a PERFECT way to end the week!

Shake those tins!! oh wait that's illegal....

An early start to the day today! We were in asda whilst most people were just waking up, eating their breakfeast and shaking off the week's worth of work in order for the relaxing weekend!! Me, Georgia and Ela helped an amazing Swindon charity called Breaking Free who help woman who have been victims of sexual and other abuse, with our cute tops and name badges! It was great to help a charity close to my heart and to make the public aware of what the chairty does, and that they are avaliable to help woman in all walks of life become not a victim, but a proud survior!!

We were there for hours! Giving out balloons (gosh tying them is an art in itself!), stickers and sweets as well as bagpacking for the public, some were kind, others not! But at least no one's eggs broke in the packing process!! Saw some familiar faces and overall hope alot of money was raised as every little counts for these small charities. They recieve no help from the goverenment like other charities so every penny donated goes to helping woman attend therapy and the retreats as well as provide a lifeline to these women. For more info, check them out on facebook by adding "Breaking Free". They are also doing challenges like the half marathon and (gulp)a skydive! Brave woman!! Check it out!!

After the bucket collection it was onto the next charity event, a charity calender for CLIC Sergent!! Now this is a picture after shooting finished, what is that in our hair you say? Fake snow (not dandruff!!)!! We had great fun shooting for the calender which will be out soon so make sure you do not buy any other calender!! We shot a snow scene for January and a bikini scene for August so watch out! You won't see any pictures apart from these behind the scenes as we want to keep it a surprise!!! So make a note in your diarys to buy the only PERFECT calender for 2013, with the Wiltshire beauty queens in!!

What a day for a white wedding...

Picture this scene, all the girls backstage dressed in beautiful Mia Solano gowns trying to get signal on their phones so they can try and tweet/fb/text about the gorgeous gowns and the show we were wearing them for! Great image by CMGPhotography (look her up!) showing a lighter side of the backstage manic! We were at Lydiard House, modelling for Rachel's Wedding's, a new bridal shop opening in Wiltshire and she held a wedding fayre complete with hairdressers, cakes (tasted amazing), chocolate fountain (also tasted amazing) and enough dresses to fill a shop (which they will on the 20th October where I will be one of the guests opening the shop!!). So we got to try on our dresses, I picked 3 (hey when you're a pageant queen you learn to quickly change from gown to gown down to an artform) and after getting our hair done by JJ's Hairgroup we were ready to rumble!

I loved wearing all three of my gowns (4 eventually as i "borrowed" one of ruths dresses she had already modelled hehe) although one was slightly big for me but luckly no janet jackson scenes here!! Although the first dress i modelled was simply stunning, jewelled bodice, it was so big i had to bring out the PERFECT swish to move the train with me! The other dresses were body hugging dresses, lacy and all the things you want from a wedding dress!! More pictures to come on my page once CMG photography has edited them (after all, this photographer knows how to make things PERFECT). But for now i shall use the last picture of my blog to show that even at the most serious events, we can still be a bit different to the stereotype beauty queen!

We had great feedback, especially from the supplier who tweeted what lovely girls we were, which I was proud of as she told us that she thought that we would all be divas, futher than the truth! Annnnd some amazing news is that we are exclusively allowed to borrow any dress from her collections to model for our pageant finals! How amazing is that! Pagaent dresses can be so expensive so to save on this sponsorship is simply fab! I already have my eye on a couple of amazing gowns, so when you see me at PERFECT finals, yes that is a wedding dress i'm wearing but I wont be wearing it to the big day, I'll be rocking it at an even bigger day at PERFECTS finals. Love what being a national titleholder can do for you!

Early night should be in order (oh why facebook and twitter do you keep me up!) as I am helping Breaking Free collect money for their great cause all day then a charity photoshoot at night with the other beauty queens, look out for us as we will be your Miss January and Miss June!!

Love England's PERFECT Miss

From football grounds to bouncy castles, a beauty queens day is never the same!

Its been a busy couple of weeks, and as one of Wiltshire's Beauty Queens (should make that a trademark) we are asked to do many things around the community. Tiara Tuesday had to be the most suiting event ever! Sorted already! Me and Miss Wiltshire Galaxy were asked to take pictures with our locla football team STFC, and they just thought they were going to have some pictures and be done. No one told them about the tiaras! It was in aid of Wiltshire Air Ambulance, and the players and staff were good sport and put them on without any questions, I secretly think that some really wanted to keep them afterwards!
Then thursday we were in the Swindon Advertiser for coverage of Rachel's Weddings, the picture here taken by CMG Photography at Rachel's launch party. It's a great piece about the bussiness and about the wedding fayre we are modelling in tomorrow! As usual they got my title wrong :( it says Europe's Perfect Miss, instead of England's Perfect Miss! Now if they keep doing this, hopfully it's actually fate and  I will win that title in March! Look for the signs and they will come! I will also be opening her shop on the 20th October, and am proud of how far Rachel has come since i first helped out at one of her charity events in April. From a dream of opening the shop to actually now running the shop, website and wedding fayre! Proof that if you really want something, you should just take the leap of faith!
Then Saturday (today) me, ela and georgia, alongside henry and keira went to the coffee morning in aid of Macmillian Cancer. It was a great morning! We had gorgeous cake, seriously i felt i deserved it since passing my theory at 8'clock that morning! keira also had cake, and she got some new toys as well. I found some new shoes for £2!! Bargain, and a girl can never have enough shoes!! Especially if the proceeds go towards charity! It raised nearly £600, such a great achievement! We also of course went on the bouncy castle, when do we not!! This time I had the excuse of i had my niece ;)
Here we are with the organisers, you guys should be so proud of yourself! <3

So now I'm catching up on housework :s (she says whilst still on the laptop) and about to get an early night if the family let me as we are modelling at Rachel's Wedding fayre, 10.30 start, Lydiard House if you are in Swindon and need anything wedding related! Also coming up in the month of October, a bucket collection for Breaking Free, A charity calender shoot with the other beauty queens in aid of CLIC, American football from Swindon Storm, Stand up for Cancer, Corey's Ball, Swindon half marathon (fun run this time!), more shoots, Swindon Swishing, The Swish ball (lots of swish that weekend!), Rachel's shop opening, another wedding fayre, and you no what i'm going to stop listing as there is just too much time filled alongside essay deadlines and assessments! Oh the life of a beauty queen, I wouldn't have it any other way!!

Hiking for Prospect

The day finally arrived; we put on our glittery face paints in the union jack colours, donned our official Prospect Hospice T-Shirts and hiking boots and arrived at the Marlbourgh 15 Starlight walk. We arrived all glammed up, Ruth in daps and we see people with head torches, walking sticks and high ves jackets. So we unprepared for the event and looked a bit strange in our union jack wear. Even stranger when a film crew arrived to film why we were doing the walk, then having the battle of photographers to take silly pictures of us walking and the like. We either looked like we could be famous or just primadonna wannabes…. Either way we were there to raise a lot of money for a great cause. We lit a candle in memory of an amazing women, Tami Brown and also for myself my uncle and family friends who had been treated at the Prospect.  We did the warm-up (well I think I just did my own thing) then the horn blow and off we went!

Into pitch black. Torches would have been pretty handy! Half an hour in Ela has gained huge blisters from her fairly new boots and has to call around for plasters. Then Georgia steps in horse poo, quote “It’s so swishy” whilst trying not to trip over the rocky grounds. I’m reciting the words of “The Gruffulo” to a clearly bemused bunch of girls showing I read that book to the children at work way too much! Then about a couple of hours the biggest scream ever comes from Ruth. We all turn round thinking she’s on the ground in pain tripping over the huge potholes on the ground. No she’s stepped an ankle deep mud that we are all slushing away in, and she has daps. Had to be one of the funniest you had to be there moments of the hike. The hills were never ending, we were being overlooked by cows on the hugest hill that just would not stop and I bet they were thinking, “Who are these weirdoes with shiny crowns, I think they are a bit lost!” but we prevailed!! We livened up the trip with busting out some glee show tunes and some great dancing on the way! We made it across the finish line in 3 and half hours, Ela hobbling along bless her cottons. We got a cute medal and certificate to prove that we actually did take part and not just pose for photos and leave! The girls all got bacon buttys as an extra reward whilst I had a roll (darn being a veggie at this point) and all sat down and crashed. The next day was awful! I couldn’t move, shins ached and finding blisters on my feet was not a highlight! But the pain was worth it, we raised over £100 in a short time for Prospect and I am so glad that the money will make a PERFECT difference to the end of terminally ill patients. Remember that it isn’t always about you, pain is only temporary after these events but the pain of losing a loved one is even worse to wear and to make sure that loved one leads a comfortable life towards the end, makes it all worthwhile. I would do it ten times over again, just maybe a bit of a rest first!!

Swapping heels for hiking boots!!

This saturday the team of Wiltshire Beauty Queens will be taking part in the Prospect Hospice 15k Starlight Walk, first time i've ever hiked 15k before, or even hiked! I do have hiking boots (well do timerblands kinda count?!!) so it's going to be a challenge! Also since the theme is union jack, its fetching union jack leggings time! So sponsors are always a good part when you undertake a charity challenge, but we only have raised £15 :( Very sad face! Our page is very underlooked https://www.justgiving.com/teams/wiltshirebeautyqueens. So please please please make a donation, a pound can go a long way!

Now we have a reason for wanting to raise as much as we can for Prospect as they have helped us personally. We raise funds for the inspirational Tami Brown, who passed away in July as well as family friends of mine and my uncle. Without this service thousands of people in Wiltshire wouldn't of been able to die with dignity, surrounded by people who love them in a friendly environment, rather than a hospital. If you have ever had a family member or friend go to the Propsect, you know the amazing work they do! So help us raise a lot more than a fiver!!! Love you all! <3

How exercise has changed my life....

So kindly my best friend put this very old picture of me up on facebook the other day and it's crazy that I used to be bigger than I should. Now there is nothing wrong with being a "big girl", curves are healthy but what I had wasn't healthy and wasn't helped by lack of exercise and bad food. I was still happy, but I found it harder to feel happy when iot came to going out, and work with the constant demands of being on your feet all day. I managed to lose weight but after winning Miss Swindon, the weight gradually came back and seeing a picture in the paper of me looking twice my size it was a wake up call!!

Thank goodness I have a wonderfull sponsor in the form of Kiss Gyms for Europe's Perfect Miss. They gave me free personal training sessions with Adam York (07825950299). I went from looking like this to looking like this...

taken on my last day of holiday a few days ago. There is so much difference!!! I've dropped two dress sizes as well as toning up! I cycle to work everyday and have personal training sessions 2-3 times a week, even though some days are tough (like tonight Adam made me do chin ups, which are the worst things that I can never do!) but in the end I look back to those pictures and see it's worth it! Every woman yo yo weights, it's natural, but at the moment I feel in control and loving fitness life! Also helps that my sponsors are the cheapest no contract gym in town with 24 hour access! So look up Kiss Gyms, and also give Adam a text!! Remember you want the best in fitness and what better than a PERFECT gym sponsoring your England's PERFECT Miss! <3

All about weddings!

To everyone who knows me, weddings would be the last thing on my mind! But it seems through being a beauty queen you can not escape them! And you have to learn to push any personal tramua behind and look PERFECT!! I talked in a previous blog about modelling for Rachel's Wedding's, well this sunday was her launch party! As well as her birthday so it was great to celebrate success as well as birthday wishes! I got to attend the even with my fab fellow queens from different systems, Ela who took over my Miss Swindon crown and will compete in the Miss England semis finals next year and Georgia who is the new miss Wiltshire Galaxy and competes in her first final next year! It's always great to go along with the girls, I always feel much better when I am supported and more comfortable, plus the event gets lots of dazzling smiles and sparkles!

We walked in and our names were on the banner, although I was put down as Miss Perfect Europe, bit of a typo but if that's forward thinking i'm liking it! Also I was talked about in her speech and made to stand up in front of everyone and give a big ol smile!Caught unaware but nevertheless touched to be thanked on what was Rachel's important day. There was great live music and yummy birthday cake! yes beauty queens do eat cake, and alot of it! I'm just glad my sponsors Kiss Gyms sort me out with free personal training sessions from Adam York (07825950299) or I would defo not be fitting in tiny wedding dresses!!

Once again both pictures were taken by the wonderful CMG Photography (https://www.facebook.com/HannahGoldingBeautyQueen?ref=hl#!/CMGPhotography) who was at the launch party also, and took the beautiful wedding pictures. Such a talent :)

Now I can't wait to be walking down the ailse (catwalk that is, never to be attempted again!) in such wonderful dresses on the 30th September, at Lydiard House, Swindon so girls if you are looking for wedding dresses and the like, or just fancy being nosey come on down!! Even in a wedding dress I will still be attempting to rock that runway, as perfect girls say, Go PERFECTor Go HOME! With a new dress perhaps! ;)

Press Time!

So fresh off my "relaxing" holiday and right back into the swing of things!

First of all a day before I flew on holiday, the Swindon Advertiser printed a piece about my title using a beautiful picture by CMG Photography. I'm proud to represent my country as well as represented my county for the past two years and happy that my relationship with the press is still great after two years, surely they get bored of writting about me now!

Then a treat mid holiday is the local magazine "Handy Mag" published this article about the forthcoming wedding fayre on the 30th September where a dress will be auctioned for charity. Here I am pictured with the current Miss Swindon Ela and owner of Rachel's Wedding, Rachel. Another picture in a wedding dress, you would think I would be tired by now of wearing dresses given my personal circumstances but there is always such a thrill of trying on different wedding dressess and the pictures are always beautiful!

But the best news I got when I got off that plane, ready for my next appearance (no rest for this beauty queen!) was that my sash had arrived!!! Que jumping for joy and doing a jiggy :) No time for a nap, it was straight to the Brunel Centre in my home town of Swindon to promote the upcoming Swindon American Football team, Swindon Storm with the lovely Miss Wiltshire Galaxy! We were given these cute polo shirts with the teams logo and helped let Swindon know that American Football is here to be played and watched! Being a PERFECT titleholder, I love that I can see and do different things and as not experiencing this kind of sport before (always being a rugby gal), it will be fun to embark on this new adventure! Thinking the helmet could be a new look for me?!!! ;)

So now as i'm falling asleep at the laptop trying to catch up on lack of sleep, I have a whole month of events to look forward to like tomorrows launch party for Rachel's Weddings, which is smart dress, here's hoping that I can still fit into that dress after holiday ice cream :)

Here's looking forward to a PERFECT September!
