A new year, a new start

2013, unlucky for some yet lucky for others. Every year everyone says they will have a new start, they write up their new's year resolutions and clear out all the rubbish left behind from the Chirstmas period. I spent my chirstmas volunterring for the Christmas Care Shelter, helping the homeless and less privalied around christmas time, the amount they do is unreal! It was a very humbling experience and makes you feel gratful for all in your life. I may not have the latest mobile phone or the most expensive pageant gown but what i do have is a roof over my head, food to eat and the support of my friends, family and boyfriend. Not everyone is so lucky i spent Christmaseve sorting out all the donated clothes, and also in the food halls. here i am with all the donated food, it touched my heart what people donated though people did donate verrry out of date food, shameful!! People will also bringing in baked cakes and goods which was great for the homemade touch! On Christmas day I spent my afternoon with the homeless and the lonely, talking to them about their life and helping them to the right facilities. I also must of spent about 3 hours playing count 4! They loved it, just a chance to playt games like you do at chirstmas and have a conversation! They had a homecooked chirstmas meal and food throughout the day, beds to sleep ain, roof over their head and warm clothes to sleep in! It's a shame we can not provide this all year round to the many homeless although there are places that help in Swindon, but at least for chirstmas they felt a part of something!

So now who is feeling the pinch (money and weight wise) after the whole Christmas and new year?! I know the feeling, but it's time to get back into the swing of things and the finals of Europe's Perfect is only 3 months away! So my advice to all my readers and followers, make this year YOUR year. This year I am hoping to bring home that crown and complete my dream of competing in America as a PERFECT finalist. But even if I don't place, I will not give up and will keep trying. I will keep helping the charities close to my heart, I will keep pushing myself harder to complete my studies and improve on my profession career. I will continue to be friends with the BEST pageant sister a girl could have with my Wiltshire beauty Queens and I will continue to appreciate what life throws me. 2012 taught me that life can change within a milisecond but everything happens for a reason and right now I am so happy I went through the worst to come out with the best.
